privately owned company that manufactures and markets a full
line of nutrition products to professional athletes and
fitness enthusiasts worldwide. Established in 1983 by
Michael Zumpano, a bodybuilding enthusiast, Champion
Nutrition has developed cutting edge products that
revolutionized the bodybuilding industry.
By 1989, Champion Nutrition had
become the premier sports nutrition company in the
bodybuilding market. That same year Champion Nutrition
crossed over into the endurance market with the introduction
of an exercise and recovery drink, which by 1993, had become
the most widely accepted and talked about sports drink in
professional cycling.
In addition to marketing its
full line of supplements, Champion Nutrition manufactures
its products on-site at its FDA approved facility in
Concord. This enables Champion Nutrition to have complete
control over all aspects of production to yield the most
